My hubby--with a very generous crew yesterday, they spent the limited time we had, to move furniture to higher ground, and sandbag. Today, he put on some waders, and attempted to check on the house--can't even get to the house anymore.

Well, we just got back from our annual vacation to South Dakota. We rented a cabin there, and went skiing/tubing/snowmobiling...or whatever we feel like doing (this year, we mainly did tubing because Tayva had so much fun doing it) . Tayva is old enough now to really enjoy doing those activities.We had a GREAT week. The girls did really well. Neither of them slept as well as normal though, so I think they were glad to be back home. They have slept great since we have been home. I will try to post some pics of our vacation soon.

We had a great time, but it is good to be home too.

Tayva got her hair cut yesterday, and afterward, the hairstylist gave her a sucker. She ate the sucker the whole way home. When she got out of the car, she must have dropped the stick in the snow---I didn't notice it, and she didn't say anything. We went inside and got ready for naptime. When Tayva woke up, she went potty, and she started whimpering. I said, "Tayva, what is the matter?" She said, " The white stick fell in the snow!!! (sigh). This is sewious (serious) !! " I couldn't keep a straight face-I had to giggle a bit. When she saw me giggle, she giggled too.
