Sears

Tonight, I had to run to Sears for an errand. I was looking at pajamas for the kids, and Tayva found a clearance section. So, she was looking around and found a princess purse. It was regularly $15 on sale for $4. She asked if we could buy the purse. I figured that since she LOVES dressing as a princess, and she LOVES purses, we could get it. (she really does love purses--it is so funny. Seems like she has to take one everywhere--we even forgot it at church last week, and had to turn around and go back to get it!) Anyway, I told her that if she sat still in the cart and was obedient, i would get it for her before we left. So, I did my looking around, was ready to check out. Tayva had done a great job, so I was going to buy the princess purse for her. I looked at Tayva and she had something in her mouth, so I asked her about it. Turns out, she bit the price tag off the purse, and chewed it up!!! (this is actually really unlike her, and I couldn't believe it) So, I asked her why she did it, and explained that they need that price tag on it for us to buy it!! She started to cry and cry--she felt bad, but she was also worried she wasn't going to get her purse!!! I am glad it didn't take her long to settle down.
Fortunatly there was ONE other purse left, so I took it up to the counter with me. I felt kinda weird explaining WHY there was no price tag on the first purse. The clerk was really nice about it, and told Tayva it was ok. Oh the joys......"where joy abounds" right?

TOTALLY Random...

Bob's back is s-l-o-w-l-y getting better. Most days are still filled with him being really uncomfortable though. Some days are better than others.

Tayva had a meltdown after bathtime tonight...:)(she rarely has these, but when she does, they are doosies--yikes. In her defense, she didn't have a nap today, and I know that was the main caues of the meltdown)

We are in the middle of building an attached garage onto our house...it is a good thing I am not building a house--I am too indicisive. BUT, I am SOOOO excited not to have to drag both girls outside in the freezing cold everytime we have to get into the car!! yeah!

I don't like it when drive-through windows have a "tip" line on the receipt. Why would I leave a tip? No one was serving me?? Makes me feel like a cheap-skate not leaving a tip though.

Siri is coming into her own and has one of the best and "funnest" personalities in the world!! Plus, she sleeps all night--Yeehaa!!!

Tayva loves to sing worship songs in the back seat of the car, and I can't imagine a more beautiful sound!

I have been really stressed out lately, because with Bob's back giving him such pain, I am pretty much the sole caretaker for both of the kids, plus keeping up the house etc. So, I am REAAAAAAALY thankful that one of my friends brought over a homemade freezer meal for us--she just brought it over without being asked...SO cool! (we will be eating that tomorrow night!)

We started a new book in our couple's Bible study that I am really excited about.

I just joined a book club--went to one meeting, and it was really fun. Not sure if the schedule will allow me to continue, but I hope to.

Tayva loves to do "school", and asks to do it all the time. I love it too.

Siri can make a disaster in the kitchen like no bodies business. Seriously, it takes her maybe 60 seconds to take out all the tupperware containers and lids, pull out all the dishtowels and washcloths, take out all the potholders and oven mits, and scatter all the toy magnets all over the floor. It usually doesn't stress me out though because I love to see her be curious and exploring.

Tayve, Siri and I dance together most days. We go into the playroom, turn on the music and jam together--lots of fun for all!!

Tayva LOVES to dress up like a princess. I designated a "dress-up" bin in her room. She will dig through it all until she gets to any sort of princess attire. Then she comes downstairs with sunglasses, necklaces, rings, earrings, glittery things....you name it, she's got it on. I absolutely adore my princess!!! She makes me smile a million times per day!!

Siri loves to run around naked after bathtime--and we let her, because it is a hoot to watch her stick her little belly out, hold out her arms for balance, and run around.

My mom and dad are finally moving furniture back into their house from after the flood.

I love fall, but the weather hasn't been as nice as usual. I am hoping that God has some nice winter days in store for us (I don't care if it's cold, I just want the sun to shine), so it isn't such a loooooong winter like last winter.

Even though life has been a little stressful lately, I count my blessings everyday. I can't believe that Christ died for a sinner like me. He draws me closer to himself everyday. My prayer is that I can show Christ to my kids in a transparent, raw way. No church pews needed, no fancy-schmancy Bible, no large worship band---all you need is a passion to serve the king. All that's needed is a humble heart in full submission to him. I am a work in progress, and I hope the Lord continues to mold me into what and who he wants me to be so that I can do the most for his kingdom.

So, there it is...TOTALLY random thoughts for the day. Hope you enjoyed it!:)
