A Great Christmas!!

Oh my, it went by so fast!! We had a great Christmas! I have so many pictures to share--I just have to download them etc. We had family in town for quite a while--I LOVED it. This morning was the first morning in a couple weeks that everyone was gone. Tayva woke up asking where her cousins and aunts and uncles were.

I HATE it when my family has to go home....

Christmas Rings!!!

One of my favorite traditions is making a garland of red and green construction paper rings. This is one of my favorites because I have many great memories of doing this as a child. Every morning, the girls get to open one ring from their own strand of garland. Inside the ring is a special Christmas activity that we get to do that day. Yesterday, it was decorating the Christmas tree. We had soooo much fun!!!! The girls just had a blast! Today, the Christmas rings said we would start the advent calendar (I know, we are 4 days late), and to pull out the basket of Christmas books, and spend time together reading Christmas stories as a family. (First we hid the books around the house, and the girls had to go on a "hunt" for the Christmas books--they liked the "hunt" just as much as reading the books!)

Tayva looks forward to opening the Christmas rings. Not sure what I will put in the rings tomorrow.....hmmm....
