Yesterday, I decided to make carmel rolls. I enjoy making them from scratch, so I set out to make them yesterday afternoon. Tayva wanted a snack, so I set her in her high chair while I began making the dough. She likes to watch me make things, but when she sees me measuring the sugar and flour etc, she HAS to participate. Since I was in a hurry, I decided just to put the sugar canister (there was only a little sugar left) on her high chair with a measuring cup, and let her play with it. For a long time, she just sat there and had a great time filling and dumping the measuring cup back in the canister. I turned my back for a minute while I was working with the dough, and the next thing I knew, there was a big mound of sugar on the high chair tray.
Since she already had a mess going, I figured I would just let her go until I was done with the dough, then I could clean everything up. In the meantime, she accidentally knocked the whole sugar canister on the floor. Now there was a huge mound of sugar on the floor!! It was more than I could just wipe up, so I went to get the vacuum. I started to vacuum the sugar up, and it didn't take me long to realize that I hadn't turned off the agitator on the vacuum, so it spun the sugar all over the rest of the kitchen floor!! I ended up vacuuming the entire floor. When I went to take Tayva out of the high chair, I saw there was a big pile of sugar on her lap, in the high chair, and down her pants. I took the vacuum cleaner hose to her shirt and lap. I couldn't quite reach all her lap and the whole chair, so I took the high chair tray off, and set it on the counter. I proceeded to vacuum the rest of the sugar off her lap and out of the high chair. Just as I was finishing that, the high chair tray slipped off the counter, and the FULL sippy cup of milk opened and spilled all over the kitchen floor!!!! So, I was wiping up the milk, and I noticed there was still a lot of sugar in the tile grout etc. So, I ended up scrubbing the entire kitchen floor!! Whew!!!! All that for a batch of carmel rolls!! They tasted really good at least!!

Wow, I'm glad the carmel rolls tasted good!
You really shouldn't be exerting yourself like that in your "condition". That's what your husband is for! Or you could just get a dog!
It's worth it for carmel rolls, especially coming from you who is the best cook.
Heather,
Yesterday, getting a dog sounded like a good idea!!
Erin,
Thanks for such a nice compliment!
HEY, I thought that I was the best cook???? I guess a person can no longer have that title when they burn Papa Murphy's Take-n-Bake. And I suppose since my idea of homemade carmel rolls consists of buying them from the grocery store, taking them out of the freezer, and having them "made" in the oven at home (hence, I call them "home-made")
Shaunna, you can have the title of BEST COOK, you have earned it!
I would love to have been a fly on the wall during that circus! hee. hee. Love the picture of your new baby girl...she looks BIG!
Congrats...so happy for you guys!
